Patient: Hallo,
I am sending you my photos and I would love to receive an answer. Is it possible to make a periareolarincision during breast augmentation? I am 24 year old, I have not given birth yet, and thus worry whether any problems will not occur after pregnancy or weight increase (simply, all women in my family put on much weight after pregnancy). Since I was a teenager I have felt dissatisfaction and have been ashamed of this body part (my bra size is 75A).
I look forward to getting your answer.
Doctor: Dear ...,
Thank you for the letter. To my mind, there is no reason to worry about the breast size, because such a concept as the ideal breast size does not exist. I can perform periareolar breast augmentation for you, because the diameter of your areolas is more than 3,5 cm. What size of breasts do you want to have after the surgery? Some examples of breast augmentation are placed on our website, more of them I show during consultations. I may send you some photos from the analogous operation you are interested in. That operation was performed a few days ago, so you may see how breasts look shortly after the surgery.
By the way, if you were planning to give birth in 2 years’ time, I would recommend postponing the operation.
Patient: Hi,
Yes, I would love to have a result similar to one in your photos. And, of course, to have as natural appearance of breasts as possible (Patient 1 on your website looks attractive). I do not plan pregnancy in two years.
Please, could you send me photos of inframammary andperiareolar scars after breast augmentation? I am also interested in the difference between round and anatomical implants.
I must confess, I smoke and it would be an extremely difficult task to stop smoking for four weeks (I guess, being a doctor you know smoking addiction). The only thing I can try to do, is to reduce the amount of cigarettes per day a few days before and after the surgery.
Waiting for your reply. Thanks.
Doctor: Dear …,
Sorry for a late reply. I have quite an amount of letters to answer every day. Anatomical implants suit better for patients who have given birth and round implants vice versa, for young women. When using anatomical implants, the contour of breasts looks more natural. I understand your smoking addiction, but I would like you to reduce the amount of cigarettes twice (even for a few weeks before and after the surgery).
Sincerely,
Dr. Martynas Norkus.
