How much blood is taken during the procedure?
The volume of blood to be collected (8 ml – 24 ml) depends on the selected procedure, as the number of test tubes is different for different procedures.

 


Is RegenACR treatment safe during pregnancy?

RegenACR treatment is not recommended for pregnant and breastfeeding women.

 


Is it recommended that sun exposure be avoided after using blood plasma injections for skin rejuvenation?

It is recommended that sun exposure be avoided 24 hours after the PRP therapy procedure, as is the case with mesotherapy treatment, botulinum toxin or hyaluronic acid injections.

 

What are other applications of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections?
The history of the use of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) goes back to 1987 in open cardiac surgeries. Later on, PRP has found applications in sports medicine, dentistry, neurosurgery, urology, orthopaedics and wound healing. PRP injections enhance tissue regeneration (tendon, ligament, soft tissue, skin), decrease inflammation and pain, increase collagen and bone density as well as increase angiogenesis – development of new blood vessels (for better “feeding” of tissues).

 

What are likely side effects?
Specific side effects have not been reported, but complaints relevant to any other procedure involving injections are possible, including painfulness, swelling, redness, bruises, headache, infection. Yet, all the likely symptoms disappear in 2-3 days.

 

Is PRP therapy safe for every patient?
No. The PRP therapy procedure shall not be applied in patients with infectious diseases, serious skin diseases, malignant tumours or metastases, patients receiving chemotherapy, patients with severe metabolic or systemic disorders, patients with haematological disorders involving damage to platelets, patients using anticoagulants, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (the therapy, however, may be applied 7-10 days after the use).

Regenlab is a Swiss company founded in 2003, mainly operating in the area of biotechnologies, i.e. the use of platelet-rich plasma and other cells concentrates (bone marrows, fat cells) for medical purposes.
